We collect nothing.

No accounts. No logins. No cookies. No trackers. Nothing you type leaves your browser. Here's exactly how, and how a grown-up can check for themselves.

What we do NOT do

We do not ask for your name, email, age, or anything else. We do not have accounts or passwords. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any other tracker. We do not set cookies. We do not send anything you type to an AI in the cloud. Every activity runs inside your browser on your device.

The one thing we DO store

When you finish an exhibit, we save a tiny note in your browser's localStorage so you can see which rooms you've completed next time you visit. That note never leaves your device. Clear your browser data and it's gone. It looks like this: {"completedExhibits":["ex1-predictor"]}

How to check this yourself (for grown-ups)

Open the site. Press F12 (or right-click → Inspect). Click the Network tab. Reload the page. You'll see every single request the site makes. Every one of them should go to the domain you're already on — learnai4kids.org for the kids rooms, or completeideas.com for the grown-up site. Same server, two front doors. No Google, no Facebook, no analytics providers, no AI APIs. If you ever see a third domain loading, email robert@completeideas.com. It's a bug and it'll be fixed.

The one thing we don't control

Every website sits on a server, and servers keep a short record of the requests they answer. Ours is run by Railway, and like every host it logs basic request information — an IP address and a timestamp — for a short window. That's infrastructure, not analytics: we don't read those logs, we don't add them up, and they're not tied to any name or account, because there are no accounts here. We're telling you because a privacy page that claims a website can log literally nothing isn't being straight with you.

Why we built it this way

Kids' data is valuable, and it gets mishandled all the time. The safest way to protect it is not to collect it in the first place, so we don't. That has a real cost to us: we can't see which rooms kids like best, because we don't track anyone. We'll take that trade every time over asking you to trust us with your child's activity. And "we collect nothing" is something you can check for yourself — unlike any promise to "use your data responsibly."

About COPPA

COPPA is the U.S. law protecting kids under 13 online. It applies to sites that collect personal information from kids. Because we collect nothing, COPPA's parental-consent rules don't apply here, but we designed to its spirit anyway. No profiling. No targeted advertising. No identifiers. Ever.

Third-party content on this site

Nothing loads from anyone else. No fonts from Google. No icons from a CDN. No embedded videos. Every file this page uses is served from our own server, which is why the Network tab check above works.

We do link out, though — a handful of places, and only ones we'd send a parent or teacher to: ai4k12.org (the non-profit behind the K-12 AI framework we follow), teachai.org, commonsense.org, a research paper on arxiv.org, and Robert's LinkedIn on the About page. Those are links, not embeds — nothing is fetched until you choose to click. When you do, you leave this site and their privacy rules apply, not ours.

Changes to this page

If the zero-collection stance ever changes (it won't, but if it did), this page would be updated clearly and dated. As of today, the answer is: we collect nothing, and you can check for yourself.
